The spring water issues from the face of the rock at up to 85 degree, is colorless and odorless, and contains iron and other minerals. It is potable, and leaves the skin of those who bathe in it feeling particularly smooth. The Japanese gave the name "beauty baths"to hot springs of this kind. |
